Teaching, travel, and growth—2024 and 2025 was, and continues to keep me on my toes both inside and outside the classroom. From stepping into a Long Term Occasional role to exploring new adventures in nature and beyond, I’ve learned, grown, and embraced every challenge along the way. Now, as I return to supply teaching, I’m excited to share resources and insights to help students and families thrive.

At Work

It’s been a while since I’ve written here—and for good reason! In 2024, I was thrilled to be granted a Long Term Occasional (LTO) position. I served as a Curriculum Coverage Teacher (CCT), teaching a variety of subjects across multiple grades:

  • Full Day Kindergarten (FDK)

  • Grade 2 Social Studies, Health, and Physical Education

  • Grade 3/4 Music

It was a fun and rewarding experience, and I truly cherished my time with those students. I would jump at the chance to teach them again!

Life Beyond the Classroom

2025 was also a vibrant year outside of teaching. I explored new places with my family to challenge myself in a Mud Girl race, and spent about 75% of my time immersed in nature. Highlights included:

  • A trip to Northern Ontario to witness the breathtaking fall foliage on Ontario's Canadian Shield

  • Lavender picking

  • And yes—I’ve officially jumped on the bandwagon and cheered for the Toronto Blue Jays (better luck next time, Jays).

What’s Next?

This year, I briefly worked with Grade 7 students and have now returned to the roster as an Occasional Teacher (OT)—better known as a Supply Teacher. With a lighter schedule, I’m excited to refocus on this website and continue building resources for students and families.

My goal is to help every child thrive and reach their fullest potential. I hope you’ll continue to follow along, and with your help and support, explore the lessons I’ve made available on Teachers Pay Teachers, or reach out by personally contacting me. If you're a parent looking for homeschooling resources or additional support for your child’s learning, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d be happy to provide guidance or help customize materials to support your child’s unique learning journey.

Always,

Ms. Pura
